SAFETY DOS (Always Follow)
- • Keep Water & Sand Ready: Always have two buckets of water and sand nearby for emergency immersion.
- • Wear Cotton Clothes: Wear snug-fitting pure cotton clothing and footwear. Avoid loose synthetics or flowing dupattas near flames.
- • Light at Arm's Length: Use a long burning incense stick (agarbatti) or sparkler to ignite the fuse; never use a pocket lighter right next to the tube.
- • Maintain Safe Clearance: Stand at least 15 meters away from aerial sky shot cakes once ignited.
- • Supervise Children: Young children should only hold sparklers under direct adult supervision.
SAFETY DON'TS (Never Do)
- • Never Re-ignite a Dud: If a firework does not fire after lighting, wait 15 minutes, then pour a bucket of water over it. Never inspect closely.
- • Never Hold Burning Crackers: Never light rockets, flowerpots, or bombs in hands. Always place them flat on level ground.
- • Never Light Indoors: Never set off crackers inside rooms, covered balconies, or near closed parking structures.
- • Never Cover with Metal Tins: Never place tin cans, glass bottles, or clay pots over firecrackers. Shrapnel can cause grave injury.
- • Respect Animals & Elders: Avoid bursting high-decibel crackers near hospitals, clinics, elderly homes, or pets.
